The FASET Orientation program is designed to help students complete important college business prior to arriving for classes (academic advisement, course registration, student ID, book purchases, campus resources, banking options, and area services); to educate students on the academic and social atmosphere of Georgia Tech; to provide a forum for you to get involved with student organizations; and to incorporate students into the campus community. FASET gives you the information you need to know now that you are a Tech student. Events hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admission and are designed to give you a glimpse of the GT experience for you to better make or learn more about your college decision. 

All FASET related fees will be billed to the student's account through Georgia Tech's Bursar Office (404.894.4618). These charges will be placed on the student's account before the start of classes.

FASET Orientation provides you the earliest and most convenient way to register for classes. Students who do not attend FASET will not be able to register for classes until the conclusion of all FASET sessions.

To change your information with the FASET program, such as your chosen session for the summer or number of guests attending, you may do so on your Admission Portal in your FASET Registration page while registration is still open and using a change request form. Students are limited to one guest, but this is all based on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is not a guarantee based on space limitation.

To update your permanent address, you may edit your information by visiting buzzport.gatech.edu. Click "application details" under the application quick view tab, then select "notify undergraduate admission." Once the option opens, you can update your information as needed.

While FASET is not mandatory for any student, attendance is highly recommended. The program helps to facilitate the transition process into Georgia Tech and provides the earliest and most convenient advisement and registration process. Students who attend FASET have a much smoother transition to campus. 

All students entering Georgia Tech are required to submit their immunization information to satisfy the Board of Regents immunization requirements. It is highly recommended that the requirements be completed with your family physician or at Stamps Health Services prior to starting classes. All immunization requirements and the associated forms may be found at www.health.gatech.edu and clicking on Immunization Requirements. Please read all the information carefully and submit the forms by downloading and entering the information as the instructions direct. If you and your student are attending a FASET session and are lacking any of the requirements, you may come to Stamps Health Services and receive any or all of the required immunizations. Please call 404-385-4995 for an appointment.

You can change your FASET registration by logging into your Admission Portal, then visiting the FASET Registration system and using the change request form. Students are only allowed one FASET change (this does not include changes for sessions caused due to cancellation of sessions due to COVID-19). If they change more than once, they will be assessed a $25 change fee which is applied to their student account with all other FASET fees. 

FASET is the first opportunity to register for classes, not the final one. There is typically a lot of activity in Phase II registration and we find that students who could not get the classes they wanted or needed at FASET typically do get them in Phase II registration. Also, after the FASET cycle, the academic units are looking at available seats and making adjustments in anticipation of Phase II registration. Our primary focus is to get the students enrolled full-time in the classes they need, not necessarily in the classes they would prefer at the times they would prefer, with the instructor they would prefer, etc. We will try our best to have the students enrolled full-time in classes that apply to degree requirements. If there are concerns as Phase II registration begins, the student should first contact their academic advisor and then contact the Registrar’s Office as needed.

Students who opt for an overnight stay are provided a pillow, sheets, and a towel. The rooms do get cold, so it is suggested to bring a blanket.

Virtual FASET starts at 11:30 AM and the day will end at approximately 5:00 PM.

In-Person FASET Sessions will begin with check-in at 7:45AM and the day will end at approximately 5:00 PM

• Official transcripts are preferred; unofficial printed ones may be needed on your FASET day.
• Please use a laptop. Mobile users may struggle with some of the virtual interface
• Below is information if FASET was still an in-person session
• For any student who is over the age of the 18 by the start of their FASET, you will be able to fill out an online Waiver Form. If you are under the age of 18 you need a printed copy of the FASET WAIVER FORM signed by you and your parent/guardian.

FASET is a great program that will introduce you to the resources and traditions that make Georgia Tech unique. Though you may have completed an orientation at your past institution, we strongly urge you to attend FASET. One major reason, is that it will allow you to meet your advisor and receive guidance on your first GT class registration process. With short turnarounds between past semesters and the beginning of your Tech career, these sessions allow clarification and an opportunity to review with your college and advisor.

Wreck Camp is an extended orientation experience for incoming students to Georgia Tech. The three programs offered focus on helping incoming students transition to Tech through creating connections with other students, learning many Tech traditions, developing leadership skills, and having fun in a summer-camp setting. Incoming students will also connect with upperclassmen student leaders who will lead them throughout camp. It’s an experience you don’t want to miss!

All Wreck Camp related fees will be billed to the student's account through Georgia Tech's Bursar Office (404.894.4618) after the program your student selected has ended. Funds will not come out of your student's account as soon as they register. 

NO! All Wreck Camp programs offer a variety of activities appealing to all types of students.

Easy! Three words: Community Building, Traditions, Transitions.

Coming to camp gives you the opportunity to meet other new students in a fun, camp environment. During your time at Wreck Camp, you will be in small groups led by two upperclassmen student leaders, color-themed teams, and the overall large camp. While having a great time in the activities, this experience allows you to help make your transition to Tech easier by creating new bonds and friendships with a diverse group of students before ever arriving on campus.
 
Georgia Tech has a rich history of traditions and a great story to tell. Coming to camp ensures that you will learn all about these traditions, including singing the fight songs, pulling pranks with George P. Burdell, and practicing for the Freshmen Cake Race. Through camp, we will teach you more about our school and its wonderful history.
 
Wreck Camp will not only help you to be more prepared coming to Tech next fall, but it will also give you a chance to learn more about yourself through insightful activities and interactions in small groups with our staff. We will also help identify your individual strengths and goals that will help you to succeed in your new college environment. We want you to have the best first year at Georgia Tech you can, and Wreck Camp is a great way to get ahead of the curve!

**Out of 3,000+ responses on the 2015 Student Experience Survey, students who attended Wreck Camp were more likely to rate their overall Tech experience favorably, rating higher than any other organization/involvement.

All cancellations and changes must be made in writing to the New Student & Transition Programs office at transitionprograms@studentlife.gatech.edu a minimum of fifteen business days (weekend days are not business days).

Wreck Camp ATL students who cancel after June 3rd up to fifteen business days before their session will be charged a $50 administrative fee.

HIVE Virtual Engagement students who cancel after June 21st up to fifteen business days before their session will be charged a $10 administrative fee.

Wreck Camp Odyssey students who cancel after July 20th up to fifteen business days before their session will be charged a $50 administrative fee.

Students who cancel before the dates listed above for their program will not see a fee charged to their student account. The $10 and $50 fee is only assessed for those who cancel after the dates posted up to fifteen business days before their session. Students who cancel fifteen business days or less will be charged the full fee of the program they are registered to attend.

We strongly encourage you to get dropped off on campus as Wreck Camp does not provide parking accommodations. However, if getting dropped of is not an option, please check out the Parking and Transportation website to view Georgia Tech's paid lots and corresponding rates. We would recommend parking in the student center lot or visitor area 3 to be close to check-in and kick-off activities.

"Wreck Camp" - "Hell Yeah!" our favorite call and response!

Good question! No, Wreck Camp is not an outdoor camping program. Wreck Camp is similar to a “summer camp” that you either attended or saw in movies. Depending upon your program, you will be staying on campus or at a retreat center with cabins and air conditioning. If you are interested in doing an outdoor trip before starting at Tech, look at Tech Treks through the Campus Recreation Center (www.crc.gatech.edu).

Registration for all Wreck Camp experiences open MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2021. Registration will remain open until we reach our cap limit for each program. 

Currently, there is not a preferred FASET that Wreck Camp participants should attend. If you are coming from out of state, please note that the later FASET dates are reserved for those coming from long distances and back up to our Wreck Camp dates.

Yes! We will ask on your registration what dietary restrictions you have, and make sure we meet your needs during all camps.

Yes! You can go to camp before or after going to FASET. You will develop a strong community and learn much at camp that will help you at FASET. 

Yes! You will be rooming with another camper while at Camp to help increase your community coming into Georgia Tech. We expect that everyone will still abide the same guidelines while rooming.  

Yes! Both Camp Rock Eagle and GT Dining Services accommodate all types of dietary restrictions.These will be taken from your registration. 

Wreck Camp ATL is an in-depth on campus experience that allows incoming students to get a glimpse into what the day-to-day campus experience is like as part of the Georgia Tech community. This opportunity is great to get to know other incoming students and upperclassman mentors in the place you’ll call home for the next 4 years! 

HIVE is Wreck Camp’s virtual experience that allows incoming students to get a jumpstart on community building remotely. Over the course of 3 days students will be able to interact with one another and our counselors while focusing in on our three pillars: Community, Transitions, and Traditions. 

Wreck Camp Odyssey is our flagship program. This camp takes place off-campus at Rock Eagle and has many summer-camp style activities. Over the course of 4 days and 3 nights students will have the opportunity to dive deep in forming meaningful relationships with their peers and counselors, ask questions and enjoy the Georgia summer. 

Georgia Tech is committed to providing all new students with the opportunities and information that will help them achieve their goals and be successful at the Institute. Incoming first-year, transfer, and international students are invited to take part in Wreck Camp ATL.

Rising second-years are also available to attend this year as COVID-19 prevented last year's in-person sessions.

Wreck Camp Odyssey ATL will take place on Georgia Tech's campus. Campers will stay in a Georgia Tech residence hall and all camp activities will happen in and around campus!

Wreck Camp ATL takes place June 24-26, 2022

Wreck Camp Odyssey is August 10-13, 2022 at Camp Rock Eagle in Eatonton, Georgia.

Early Move-In (Wreck Camp: Odyssey)
Students attending Wreck Camp Odyssey have the opportunity to move into their Fall 2022 Residence Hall Assignment on (August 9th or the morning of August 10th prior to our departure to Camp Rock Eagle in Eatonton,Georgia) for an additional fee of $65 per night until the official Fall 2022 Residence Life move-in date (TBA). *If you select this option, you will essentially pay $65 each day until you arrive back from campus to officially move into the residence halls.* If you arrive on August 9th, please schedule all arrival times between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. If you arrive on August 10th, please adhere to the Wreck Camp Odyssey schedule we send prior to the camp as we plan to stay on schedule for our departure from Georgia Tech that morning. 

If you select this option, once the fee has been confirmed, we will email all students who have selected this option. Changes can be made to your registration once the information is provided if need be.

On the final day of Wreck Camp, we will close out our experience and head back to Georgia Tech, arriving back at the Smithgall Student Services Building by 3:00 pm on August 13, 2022 at the latest.
